Why take a COVID-19 vaccine antibody test?
A positive antibody test means that you have developed antibodies to COVID-19. This indicates that you have had COVID-19 in the past.
A negative result means that antibodies were not detected. This indicates that you have not had a COVID-19 infection in the past or that the antibody number has decreased to a level that can no longer be detected.

Dr Katie Stephens
“When we get an infection, our immune system makes what can be thought of as little soldiers specifically designed to fight a particular type of infection. These ‘soldiers’ are called antibodies. We can make antibodies that target different parts of the infection (imagine a snare antibody that only works by targeting the invaders’ hypothetical feet; this would be different to ‘handcuff’ antibodies which can only target its wrists). This test specifically assesses if we have antibodies to the part of COVID-19 that would only be produced in response to being infected with COVID-19, not with being immunised. In other words, this test is only to check if you’ve ever been infected, and not to check your current immunity levels.“

Your personal dashboard
The results of your test are presented to you on an online dashboard designed by NHS clinicians. The dashboard includes different charts and views to help you easily understand your results.
Testimonials
“Turnaround time was impressive and I now know that the Pfizer vaccine has triggered an antibody response. As a clinically extremely vulnerable patient taking immunosuppressants for kidney disease, this gives me some confidence to slowly reintroduce myself into society. I was hesitant to use online services from private clinics but I knew you could be trusted when I saw you are run by the NHS.”
