This test includes an HbA1c level (average blood sugar over 3 months) and a total cholesterol test. Monitoring your levels to ensure they are optimised can reduce your risk of developing heart damage in the first place, or if you’ve already suffered this, experiencing further damage. The lipid profiles include: 1. Cholesterol 2. Triglycerides 3. High density lipoprotein cholesterol 4. Non-high density lipoprotein cholesterol.
